The internet is rapidly expanding and changing after its release to the public in the mid 90′s. Once only used by those who could afford it, the internet today is used by almost everybody. Millions of websites have been created, and the information that can be found on there is priceless.

You don’t have to be a genius in order to use the internet, but as mentioned, it is always changing. Therefore, it is critical for internet users to be as up to date as possible with what it has to offer. That’s where the course Web 2.0 comes in. Our aim is to help you on your way to a greater knowledge of what it has to offer. Topics such as emailing, blogging, photo and video sharing, social networking sites and internet calling program Skype will be covered in this course. For more information, continue reading.

Web 2.0 is a self paced course that will enable you to explore the most common web 2.0 applications that are currently available.

You will be creating your own blog and on it each week you will be asked to record your thoughts about the weekly activity.

* Sound card (for Youtube)

3. Exploring Flickr.

Module 3 – RSS

4. Subscribing to website content.

Module 4 – Social bookmarking

5. Getting to know what Social bookmarking is.

Module 5 – Videos

6. Getting to know Youtube and other video sharing websites.

Module 6 – Google services

7. Discovering search engines.
8. Using Google maps.

Module 7 – Wikipedia and social websites

9. Exploring the encyclopedia on Wikipedia.
10. Discovering Facebook.
11. Getting acquainted with Twitter.
12. Making voice calls on the net with Skype.
